HOW TO GET THE MOST OF YOUR BESPOKE WORD-ART PRINT:
Your selection of “quotes”:
Take a day or two to think about your potential list of appropriate “quotes”, “locations” or “favourite things” and the particular ones which might mean the most for your recipient (assuming it’s a gift!)
Think about the order in which you want the various quotes or locations to appear. Some clients go for chronological order, some by order of importance. It is possible to have some text running vertically up the side as well as horizontal.
The length of each line is important. A small word like “PARIS” for example, will look very spaced out and larger, hence giving it more prominence. Too many very long lines or sentences may look too busy. I always suggest it is good to have a mix of length between the various quotes or sentences.
For the smaller, A4 print, I suggest approximately 10 to 14 “quotes”.
For the larger, A3 print, I suggest approximately 12 to 16 “quotes”.
It is always useful to let me know which are the most crucial “must-have’s” and which quotes/lines are less important.
Do I see a proof before printing?
Yes, I will email you a proof for approval before the image is sent to the printing company that I use.
How are the prints created?
The typographical prints are Giclée prints created and printed on quality heavyweight matte paper by a professional printing company using specially pigmented Ultra Chrome pigment based inks to prevent to ensure against fading of your print for at least 75 years.
Examples and proofs have a watermark on them, which of course will not be printed on your final artwork.
The prints are printed with a white border around them. This allows for easier and cleaner handling when unwrapping and when framing, which we highly recommend to preserve the quality of your print. This border is not part of the print and is intended to either be trimmed or hidden under a mount.
How do you post the prints?
They are posted to you unframed, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a sturdy protective cardboard tube.
Dimensions:
Small prints measure approximately 20cm x 30cm, excluding any border or mount.
Large prints measure approximately 30cm x 40cm, again, excluding any border or mount.
